I want to write a romance novel, and want something to base it on. Can someone give me a few ideas on what to write on?

It can be something completely fiction. It can be from your own life. I don't know, but if it just sounds like something people would like to read and discuss, then please go ahead and say it. Thank you!

read some romance novels and see what they write about and then write your own. Or what your ideal situation would be and embellish it to where it falls under one of these romance novel contents.

Good luck!

There is a good book, my wife writes these, working to get published...

Writer's digest genre writing series
"How to write romances"
by Phyllis taylor Pianka
$ 15.95
ISBN 0-89879-324-6

Might be available at half price books, dirt cheap in the literary or writing section. Or maybe at a library.

Or on amazon.

Also, pick up a few copies of what's out there, recently, newer romance novels, look in those for style, and write your own. it's pretty much formula writing, and it's a big market. Very popular with women, who read these all the time.

If you can write something like Nicholas Sparks' "Message in a Bottle", you'll make millions.

Good luck.
