i have travelled greatly and still love toronto for its multiculturalism. we have so many different ethnic neighbourhoods that you can get a great taste of every part of the world within the city limits. we also have a vibrant night life. great restuarants. good theatre. fantastic shopping. wonderful parks and hiking trails. i live right downtown and can walk everywhere. i can enjoy a cocktail in the gay village. go shopping in yorkville. visit the riverdale farm and buy handmade preserves. walk to china town for fantastic cheap food. i can find everything and anything in this city. toronto is a great place to live, raise children and visit.

opposite of everything fatsausage said
millions (perhaps billions?) of trees, numerous hills & valleys, 1500 public parks, 100's of km of bike trails and ravines, harbour on one of the world's largest lakes, and islands you can take a ferryboat to, see the skyline, the world's highest public observation deck on one of the tallest human-made structures, world's fastest moving sidewalk in one of the busiest biggest airports in North America, in the top 3 in the world for theatre & arts (New York and London and Toronto), nightlife, financial capital of Canada, dynamic and multicultural lifestyles with incredible selection of foods, restaurants, and things, the whole world all in one city, busy public transit and very very busy roads, too busy, too many people to make friends with everybody, but lots of opportunity to make friends, and still, ALL kinds of people getting along well enough to live together peacefully, sharing a great cosmopolitan city, great police force, and if you hear any badmouthing from the rest of the country, its jealousy for all we've got going. Our car drivers really need to be more considerate though.

depends on where youre coming from. It's big, cosmopolitan, lots of shopping, lots of people walking around, it's expensive to live (compared to other Canadian cities) It's mostly english, (not very french like Ottawa and Quebec, montreal) pretty easygoing (like most canadian cities except Calgary from what I'v heard - never been there but heard there were still lots of rednecks there)
