Every morning I wake up with a blocked nose, I have a really runny nose and sneeze my head off, why?

After an hour or so it goes and I sometimes take anti-allergy tablets which usually clears it up.

Anyone have any tips?

I don't smoke, I'm 25 years old, I'm not overweight, I dont have air conditioning or central heating and even if I leave my window open I have the same problem. When I'm camping I get these symptoms.

I may look at getting a humidifier.

When you lay on your back, you sinuses can clog or drain. What ever the case may be. It is not necessarily hay fever. I use a cold water humidifier in the room and wake up with no problems anymore. Plus, a humidifier is good for the environment in your house. Try it, see what happens.

It can be due to the environment of your room, or from smoking, if you do, but it is more likely to be your body trying to expel toxins, mucous because other mechanisms are impaired. I.e. if the kidneys, liver or digestive tract are not functioning optimumly, the body finds another way to excrete the waste products. Maybe analyse other symptoms/signs to see if they also point to this.

its caused by sleeping with your mouth open, try to leave your window open, even a tiny amount, to circulate the air

Try pinching the Bridge of your nose for about a minute that should stop it.

My best guess is that you have hay fever. You should see your doctor.

you may avoid fan or airconditioner, it doesn't seem to be allergy but hypersensitivity instead.
