If you can manage to feed your stomach through meditation then, a couple too can give birth through meditation.
In olden days people used to yagyas to please God for His blessings in the form of a baby. They never stopped trying. The rigorous processes involved in those yagyas excersied your body to be ready for the act actually needed to carry out to get a baby. The yagyas in those days used various chemicals. The 'prasad' of the yagyas had some bit of the 'ahuti' (ashes of the yagya agni) mixed in it. Maybe taht prasad initiated the hormones of the couple.
A scientific example: Few years ago there was a time in Mumbai when the rains didn't show any signs for around one and a half months. A panel of reasearchers suggested that there's some chemical vapours of which are not harful to living beings, these vapours can rise up to the level of clouds and they can absorb hummidity from the atmosphere. The suggested to boilt that chemical in large quantities so that the vapours get mixed up in the atmosphere. And the show worked. Yagyas were performed exactly the same way. Different chemicals for different purposes...
Just for your knowledge, Yagyas never involved meditation. Meditation and Yagya are two completely different rituals.

My cousin went through labor. She tried to have my niece naturally and they gave her pitocin. After that, everything was screwed up. I wasn't in the room, but all of the family and a lot of friends were outside of the room when she was having her. That girl would not stop screaming and was screaming at other women she heard to shut the fvck up. yagyas or whatever ya saying wouldn't have helped anything. That girl needed drugs. She had an emergency surgery to get the baby out and she was given morphine. She was happy after that. I was laughing my A55 off when she came out because she looked so high.

Contrary to popular belief, there are stories in religious studies of Immaculate Conception besides Mary. Birthing can be done with very little pain with mediation and yoga. Unless the baby is in danger stay away from western ideas of birth and hospitals. Let your partner follow her heart in what she wants. Peace and Blessings

I gave birth in a hospital but didn't have any drugs to decrease the labor pains. I wanted to feel the whole experience of child birth. It lasted 8 hours and the moment he was placed in my arms the pain was gone and forgotten. I'm glad I experienced it all. That's part of motherhood. I didn't even go to any lamaze (spelling?) class for breathing techniques. The nurse helped me thru it.

There are plenty of women who choose to have an unmedicated birth experience. A variety of things, from meditation to Lamaze techniques, are employed to take one's mind off of the pain that is associated with childbirth.

yes deep meditation can take our thoughts away from the physical and that would include pain
however i dont think that being in deep meditation would be a great idea during birth
but the practise of meditation and perfecting it before hand would be ideal
then you would know how to reach that state in an instant and when needed

Sounds good but when a woman is in hard labour, they usually will want drugs, even if they planned not to use them.
