Hi! Great question. Evil, most evil, comes from the minds and imaginations of reprobate humans. The human mind and spirit is capable of tremendous good as well as tremendous evil.

From the horrors of Nazi concentration camps, the killing fields of cambodia, the torture cells of Guantanamo, the caged 6 year who is gang-raped every day... To the utter and despicable evil that resides in Washington D.C. we can safely say that "Evil" (with a capital "E") comes solely from the belief that one is absolutely right. When a person believes they are "right" they can justify small erratic behaviours. These in turn morph into greater "evils" and eventually they are so wrapped up in their own false ideology that they truly believe that torture, rape, killing is justified.

This is Evil.

Wow, what a dumb question.

Define evil, first of all. I think its more likely to be selfishness a lot of times or in group morality coupled with out group hostility.

Even sophisticated Christians would say evil does not come from the devil. I guess you'd like that Islamic myth (sorry, I mean religious tenet) where they believe they have good and evil angels whispering in their ears at all times. The devil does not exist and neither does god.

That's an easy one the Devil made me do it is just an excuse. Where does evil come from? Ourselves of course! Believe me we don't need a Devil to be evil we do very well on our own.

I do believe in devil. But all the evil things actually comes
from our evil mind. Some of us might brought up in
in a manner that their surrounding is so bad. they might
witness the killings, the hatred, the hunger, the ruins...
From there, slowly your mind create a space for, hate, revenge
and only the strong survives.

Evil comes from mankind, just as good comes from mankind. It takes both to make the world go 'round. Give credit where credit is due: I am responsible for the good I do, as I am equally responsible for the evil I do. No god to thank or devil to blame.

The devil isn't really an icon for evil unless you are speaking from only one side of the yard. Evil is evil and it infests so subtle and easy, it is difficult to detect because it is sneaky. I could point, but I'd be shot down.

Evil comes from the hearts of men, it is man himself that is the devil, If you study the wisdom that was written in the scriptures you will find that it is the evil in man that scripture speaks of, not mythical stories of a Satan or devil, man creates his own hell.

The so called evil you are referring to comes from within. Evil/bad is a necessary part of your world. If you did not experience or witness evil/bad then you would not understand the meaning of good. It is also a matter of perception as to what is good and bad. From the moment you were born you have been conditioned to perceive good and bad form someone Else's point of view.

Satan is BEHIND every evil in this world, and Satan has instilled help with MEN by the EVIL in Men's HEART and DARK SOUL. Mans soul is as BLACK as MIDNIGHT anymore, and is getting worse everyday. Man has PUT GOD out of his life and family, and has put himself above God, but the Day (Christ) is coming that ALL things will be made right. Evil and Sin will be eradicated forever from man, and sin WILL NOT and CANNOT enter the presence of GOD as God will not and does not tolerate even ONE sin.
