I am not a fan of Big Brother, I am not a fan of Gade Goody. I never saw the whole argument, only the edited highlights. I agree some nasty things were said by house mates. But I really cannot see why the comments made by individuals over an argument over a stock cube, made the world news. I dont understand if things were that bad, why Shilpa stayed. She is an intelligent woman and if she (the victim) can deal with it in a measured why, why can't the media etc ? SOmeone please help me understand !

No, you are not alone. There are always those who feel that bullying others is acceptable. In this case, it was branded Racism, but it wasn't really, it was three women who made the decision to bully one woman, who just happened to be from a different culture.

Racism, is an oxymoron, as there is no such thing as race, we are all human, can all interbreed and are one people. There have not been enough generations between us to create new species or races. Race is a concept that was introduced by Victorians and Europeans to justify their subjugation of people they thought were lower races.

But in this case, it was bullying. It's like Chris Moyles on Radio 1. He wears this blue band to say no to bullying, but then he bullies the people who call and people who come onto his radio show.

It is not acceptable over all.

Big Brother only shows edited highlights and they showed Jade's comments in order to boost a flagging audience, which is totally wrong. The media jumped on it and blew it up out of all proportion. Jade is neither racist nor a bully and Shilpa instigated the whole stock cube row. If she had kept her mouth shut about a blooming stock cube then it would never have happened. I don't like her and all the others, those who are still in and those who have come out of the House have said she was dominating and controlling. Enough to get up anyone's nose, she certainly would have got up mine. Jade has a short fuse, a temper stemming from how she was brought up and she saw red and vented her anger - not racist, not bullying. If she had been racist she would have said a lot more in that row, she would really have let rip and Shilpa gave back what she got. Jade was made the scapegoat. The fact that Shilpa said in the Diary room straight after that it was not racist should have calmed everything down, but the media wanted a story.

A storm in a tea cup, or an oxo cube in the pot.

This was a spat between two adults, not children, and B.B. failed in its duty to protect ALL the housemates by its malicious editing and screening of the event.

Jade, Jo and Danielle have definitely lost a great deal more than Shilpa who is portrayed as a victim of racial abuse.

We English are frequently referred to as Poms, by the Aussies, Limeys by Americans and Sassenachs by the Scots. So what is so heinous in Popadom?

Jermaine spoke of 'White trash' which is a very offensive remark in Britain regardless of any other connotations attributed to it.

The truth behind the 'punishment' of the alleged offenders is the political dimension afforded to the mass hysteria in India where mobs burned effigies of B.B.

Gordon Brown was on a mission to negotiate Trade deals with the Indian Government and business leaders.

The biggest bullies are the Politicians, Media and TV pundits who have made many offensive references to the three women mentioned above.

We are a tolerant nation but what has happened to COMPASSION, so conspicuous by its absence.

It wasn't about race, it was about class. Yes, Jade Goody made some stupid remarks, but then Jade isn't the sharpest tool in the box. Political correctness is a mine field. Even the cleverest person can make a gaff. Racism is repugnant, but so is the assumption that being cleverer than another person makes you superior.

I would be fascinated to find out if Shilpa is at the forefront of the campaign to abolish the caste system in India?

The reaction to this stupid combat became over the staggering. Shilpa even pronounced (in a while) that Jade wasn't a racist. I heavily think of that Shilpa herself became conceited and obnoxious. no person advised her to symbolize her united states. and he or she wasnt. She became there basically for the profession raise and for repute. probable (dont think of so ) yet additionally the money. So she didnt prefer to provide up. So the question is : If she herself isnt that bothered, to surely go away the domicile, then why is all and sundry making such an argument out of it? the respond is easy. that is with the aid of fact Shilpa is from yet another united states. And it hurts the two worldwide places to comprehend that such issues are being pronounced approximately one yet another. Thats why its such an argument. those arguments happen everywhere, yet its risen with the aid of fact Shilpa's a celeb in India. I could say that its additionally risen with the aid of fact people have faith that losers like Jade have not have been given any top to abuse superstars. I mean, the mentality in the direction of a celeb and a individual from yet another united states transformations quickly. for this reason, its being pronounced over the staggering. So the climate are: a million) Shilpa being from yet another united states 2)Shilpa being a celeb 3)Jade no longer being a celeb 4)Shilpa being talked approximately as "Pak*" ( i think of that's an extremely undesirable element to have been pronounced). Indians have for this reason taken it to the heart. 5)Shilpa crying and bawling THERE YOU flow!!!!!

No you're not alone.
Personally, I don't like Shilpa - it doesn't make me a racist! I don't like Jade, Danielle or Jo either.
I don;t think it was racism, - I think the others are just childish, ignorant bullies.
I think Shilpa was right in saying they are probably jealous as she has a larger and better vocabulary than the others.
Considering it was supposed to be the end of Jade Goody - has she not received more publicity than normal?

Well i have only seen a clips of what all the fuss was about.
I have Asian friends who regard me and my husband as family, and as far as i am aware not racist. But i think the media and channel 4 have used this to get big bro ratings as its not doing so well.

However as racism was the issue, why has no one done anything about the comments made by Jermaine Jackson calling Jackie white trash.
You cant have rules for one and then not the other. And i feel this has not helped in any way to dispel any bad feeling between both
white / black and Asian people.

I don't watch this type of program, though as far as I could see from what was written and shown , it was merely a display of public bitchiness an cultural ignorance that is sad but non the less representative of the society as a whole.

Last century Britain fought two world wars to keep invaders out.
Today we have been invaded by most countries in the world without a shot being fired. Now the invaders have taking over Britain and laying down their laws and if anyone disagrees they bring out their race card. If Christians or other denominations went to a Muslim country and wanted to build a church to worship in they would be executed.
We have spineless politicians in power today afraid to speak their mind. Where's the likes of Winston Churchill today? Although he was no angel, he wouldn't stand for all this nonsensical crap that's going on.
As far as I'm concerned anyone from anywhere in the world is welcome to this country as long as they are willing to work and obey the laws and customs of this land.
As for B.B. and Jade Goody, it proves what really is going on in peoples mind but they are afraid to verbalise it because they will be threatened with losing their job and possibly violence.
Jade Goody wasn't being racist she was expressing an opinion even if it was the wrong one. What's happened to freedom of speech?

Yes I agree with you,the media as usual whipped up a storm for it`s own greedy agenda and people followed like sheep.
Having said this I also have to say that Jade has got a tongue that would cut concrete and her language was an embarrassment to many British people.
