I agree, you need more protein. if you take in too few calories your body will think there's a famine and you won't lose weight. if you don't eat enough protein you will lose muscle instead of fat. add broiled fish or chicken. use the link for guidelines as to how much of what to eat.

It is healthy, but not enough.
Add a couple of servings to meat (or protien), as well as complex carbohydrate to that, and you have a pretty good diet. With that soup, you need something else (i.e. wheat bread and something full of protien).
Under no circumstances should you consume less than 1200 calories (and the diet you put here has maybe 500). If you take in less than 1200, your metabolism will slow down, and you will have even more trouble losing weight (plus you will be hungry).
So, the good news is you can eat more, but you are on the right track, the foods you have chosen are healthy.
You will also be able to stick to the diet if you are not starving yourself.

It is healthy but not nearly enough calories. On this intake your body will start burning muscle tissue.
The meals you say above, only come to around 600 - 650 calories. Below 800 is dangerous.
Have a sandwich with your lunch then that will add the extra you need.
You'd soon become very weak on the diet you describe and it will be hard to maintain. Not only that but your body will go into starvation mode and your metabolism will slow down which won't help your diet either.
Hope that helps.

Like you I had a bowl of crunchy nut this morning for breakfast with a slice of toast and a big mug of tea. I also often have cereal for supper too,but for supper it would have to be weetabix,as much as I love crunchy nut weetabix has to be my number 1 cereal.

that is not enough calories. plus soup out of cans have tons of sodium which is not good to eat every day.
what is your height/weigth/age? I think you should talk to a nutritionist who can work with you with setting up enought calories to eat and get a balanced diet. if you eat too little calories your body goes into starving mode, retains all the calories, and when you do start eatting regularly again your weight will increase rapidly.

I'm sorry, but most of the people who are answering your questions don't have a clue what they're on about...
I am a nutritionist, and i would advise watching the 'you are what you eat' programme, or getting the dvd as the presenter, Dr. Gillian McKeith knows what she's on about. I cant describe to you everything now, but you can e-mail me at hindd07@yahoo.co.uk for morew details, or if you cant get the programme...
Good luck with your new health life style...

you are supposed to start the day with fruit.or fresh juice.or you could have muesli, oats are slow release carb.you prob would lose weight on your diet, cals wise, could you stick to it though.
so easy to say what to do,not so easy to do!

In the event it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
