Why do some people have bigger noses than others? Or why are some taller? Mostly it's a combination of genes and environment, but those two influences alone give us our physical shape. The vocal chords and inner ear are no exception. Each person has their own unique shape to the chords and throat, so they produce equally unique sounds. Some just aren't acoustically favorable. The same might be said for the inner ear and it's ability to sense different frequencies of sound. If your ears can't sense the subtle difference in sound wave frequencies, then you will have a very difficult time reproducing said sound. In the end, some people will never be able to sing because of their shape while others, with a fair amount of practice, will be able to conform the shape of their chords, throat, and lungs to the optimal singing form.

It's in the anatomy of the larynx. For everyone it's different. It depends on how good your ear is (if you can identify a note), if you have too much tension, that will prevent a healthy sound, it depends on the technique that you use and the ability of your instrument. Some people have a louder sound than others. It's about how you use your lungs and the technique od projection. Anyone could sing, but it's how you use your instrument. And some people do have a more beautiful voice than others. Your natural abilities are important and the voice teacher that you have is equally important!

The ability to sing is something that can be developed by almost everyone, just like drawing, and writing..The reason that some people beleive that they can't sing is because they believe that it is an ability that is gained at birth. I'm not saying that everyone can be a professional singer, animator, or a novelist. Practice and patience can and will make you better

This is about the same why some of us can beat Michaelangelo or Monet and others are absolutely have no idea what paintings are about. But I believe that the ones who cannot sing or draw have other kind of abilities in the same quality, whether they realize about it or not. Everyone got a gift or gift/s and they are different, that makes life and world colorful.

Everyone has the ability to sing...whether or not it's pleasing to the ear is another thing. Voice lessons are always helpful to bring out the full potential of your voice.

I guess there isn`t a person without some talent. I f someone can`t sing, maybe he/she could paint , dance etc. If we all could sing etc. life would be either too boring or too hard, because that might make us more competitive.
On the other hand, some people might be able to sing, but never discover it and develop their talent.

Every person has the ability to sing. Some people just require more training than others. Talk to any voice profesor, and you will get the same response.

Rarely do I teach a child who cannot sing (cannot create more than one pitch, period). In the three cases over 10 years, all parents admitted that they did not have music playing in their house (radio, CDs, anything). The children had nothing to mimic.

This is purely anecdotal and has no scientific backing that I am aware of.

It's about our talents, absolutely our talents,
i believe that everyone is born for a special purpose and not all the people are supposed to have the same abilities and talents,
someone is born to kill, someone to be an actor and someone else to sing,

No one has better voice talent than anyone, at first, because they either have had voice lessons more, or they practice, or they have been in a choir for a long time. For me, I do all of them, so...yeah.
