because either it teaches us something or prepres us for something in the future. God didnt create man to suffer. he loves us very much and his heart is very torn when we suffer, but Adam(a human being) is the one that opened the door to suffering.

God has nothing to do with suffering in the world, man creates his own suffering, It is mans obligation to undo the effects of human suffering not Gods, and as for any issues raised in the garden of Eden, well that never happened because the story is a myth, quit blaming God for mans creation, because it is mans responsibility to end human suffering, and poverty. God Bless.

This was the question that led to my deconversion years ago. I have come to the following conclusions:
1) Satan, who is evil, has equal or more power than God, who is good, hence God cannot stop Satan from causing human suffering. Conclusion: God's power is limited.
2) God, being all-powerful, either enjoys watching humans suffer or doesn't care whether or not they suffer. Conclusion: God does not love us.
3) Human suffering just happens. Conclusion: God does not exist.
I cannot logically reconcile an all-powerful deity and an all-loving deity in a world with suffering. The two don't mesh. An all-loving deity who suffers when his creations suffer would not willingly allow them to suffer, so if they do suffer, someone has to be more powerful than the deity. An all-powerful deity who allows his creations to suffer is cruel and therefore cannot be loving. A nonexistent deity has no power or affection one way or the other.

Humans hurt each other, so GOD wouldn't be responsible.Only mankind can choose to undo suffering, not GOD.
When things like money, ego and ignorance are out of the picture, then maybe we could get somewhere.
Think about it, if you were sitting in that "land in the sky" watching mankind kill each other because of envy, racism, greed, fear, etc., for millenia, you would begin to think "do they even want to help each other?"
So as long as there are human beings, there will be suffering.
Besides, if you never felt sorrow a day in your life, how would you truly appreciate happiness? It's part of what makes us strong as a people.

God does not create suffering.
Suffering is a direct product of judgment.
The issue raised in the garden of Eden was judgment. The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is a metaphor for judgment.
Judgment is the idea that we know what is good and what is evil.
God has been trying to undo the effects of judgment and the human suffering it creates since the beginning of time. This is why God keeps sending people like Jesus, the Buddha, Mohamed and the Dali Lama to assist us. We keep ignoring them and adjusting the message God sent them to bring to us.
Until we finally listen and suspend judgment nothing will change.
Love and blessings Don

Satan is the ruler of this world. A world ruled by someone evil is full of suffering. "The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through." - 2Corinthians 4:4
When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, they challenged his sovereignty, that is, his right to rule. Jehovah could have destroyed them and started over with another couple, but that would not have settled the issue of whose rulership is right and best for people. Granted time to develop their societies according to their own ideas, humans would demonstrate beyond any doubt whether rulership independent from God could ever be successful.
What do thousands of years of human history tell us? For all those centuries, people have tried many kinds of social, economic, political, and religious systems. However, wickedness and suffering have continued. In fact, 'wicked men have advanced from bad to worse,' especially in our time.—2 Timothy 3:13.
God will soon intervene in human affairs. The Scriptures tell us: "In the days of those kings [human rulerships now existing] the God of heaven will set up a kingdom [in heaven] that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people [never again will humans rule the earth]. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms [present rulerships], and it itself will stand to times indefinite."—Daniel 2:44.
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4

suffering is permitted to have us realise the consequences of sin.
the issue raised was that nobody was to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good n evil. we may ask why did He place it there right? choice...God gave men dominion over the garden n everything therein and power isn't complete until the power of choice is given yet the consequence of disobedience was suffering n death. so did the original sin come before eating of the fruit or aft? after...before eating, there was the contemplation n pre-meditation caused by temptation n wad laid before them was the said to have been able to make them become like God.
anyways to undo the effects of death was by sending Jesus to die as a propitiation for our sin and that whoever believes in Him will be saved from the consequence of death. but sin still dwells in us, n therefore suffering prolongs. but thru suffering with the hope given us by Christ,it develops Godly character.

God allows suffering the same way a father (or mother) will let their young child use his/her own strength to try & achieve something (let's say a teddy bear on a shelf). The father only steps in after the child has been worn out by his/her own futile efforts.
God doesn't want us to suffer. He gave us a will & respects that. He won't do what we've not asked Him to. He'd rather have us ask.

In the beginning God completely sustained His creation without blemish. That’s why it was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

Man and to a degree God caused the suffering because of the events in Eden where many disobyed and then failed to take responsiblity for their actions but instead sluffed it off on others (the woman YOU made for me made me do it!).
God declared that man must toil from sun up to sun down and woman would bear children in pain.
At then end of times, God will bring the "chosen ones" from the book of life with him and they will become eternal, spirtiaul beings like God and there will be no suffering, but their may not be pleasure either.
To not feel pain you must also not feel pleasure.

“Sometimes the problem of evil is put to the Christian in the form of a complex question, “If God is good, then He must not be powerful enough to deal with all the evil and injustice in the world since it is still going on. If He is powerful enough to stop wrongdoing, then He Himself must be an evil God since He’s not doing anything about it even though He has the capability. So which is it” Is He a bad God or a God that’s not all powerful?” Though many writers in the Bible complained about suffering and evil....the Scriptures make it plain that God did not create the world in the state in which it is now, but evil came as a result of the selfishness of man. The Bible says that God is a God of love and He desired to create a person and eventually a race that would love Him. But genuine love cannot exist unless freely given through free choice and will and thus man was given the choice to accept God’s love or to reject it. The choice made the possibility of evil become very real. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they did not choose something God created, but, by their choice, they brought evil into the world. God is neither evil nor did He create evil. Man brought evil upon himself by selfishly choosing his own way apart from God’s way.”
So blaming God for suffering and evil in the world is like saying "You shouldn't have given us a choice Lord. You should have made us love you and forced us to obey you." But that would not have been real love. Would you want to force someone to love you? When you walk(ed) down the aisle, and say (said) "I do", what would it feel like if you were told you had no choice but to love the person and marry him/her or else? God has been very fair and righteous to give us a choice about loving Him. We, unfortunately, made the decision to go our own way rebelling against God. So now we have to live with the consequences of choosing sin instead of Him. Our rebellion and broken relationship with God has brought a tremendous amount of evil and suffering in the world.
Still we wonder how this type of senseless evil could occur. And why do God's innocent children suffer?
There were some very strong Christians who died in the Columbine school shootings, who we would say were martyred for their faith.
“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
“The security we crave would teach us to rest our hearts in this world and pose an obstacle to our return to God... Our Father refreshes us on the journey with some pleasant inns, but will not encourage us to mistake them for home.”
