second. It's like there's an explosion in my head (no pain involved). I almost want to say I see stars or a flash of light. The first time it occured I thought I had a stroke or something. I'm a very relaxed, slow to anger type personality. I find it interesting that the only time this occurs is when I'm dealing with my boyfriend (I'm starting to think he's everybody's boyfriend). Recently, he asked me for a cigarette and I did the black out thing. This response is completely involuntary. Sounds trivial, a cigarette. That's just one of about a million other things he's asked for over the last three years, never willing to give anything himself. Needless to say, this relationship needs to be disolved.

What I'm wanting to know is, what's going on in my body to cause the reaction I've described. It's happened five or six times, beginning about six months ago. I'm 38. I'm insulin dependant. Wonder if I should discuss this with my doctor.

I am NOT a doctor or medically trained professional. But my dad has had diabetes forever and a good friend of mine has diabetes with recurring seizures-somehow related to his diabetes.

It sounds to me, a "Laymen", that this "issue" that you have been experiencing- is some type of seizure activity. I would call your endocrinologist ASAP! I wouldn't mess around with this one.

If it's not a big deal-he/she will say your stressed. It's always better to be safe than sorry. It might be as simple as a medication adjustment. But left unchecked-who knows what could happen...

Hope this helps. God Bless.
