do you know what style he likes? if he likes sailing, get one of those giant glass bottles with a ship inside of it. he might like it :) ~cheers! and good luck!!

buy him a sailing boat thing... not a boat but u no those little like what ya call em... not a toy.
If u can afford to take him out on a sailing boat for a few days or something

i would just have to say to try and find out his musical preferences. You could do rap or rock or heavy or soft and maybe just a compilation of all different sorts.
