I am Iranian and really the reason written in the media for war against Iran make me laugh, They are not right. Don't get me wrong, this regim is not our faivorit regim but we have safe counry, why the rest of the world wants to start another war for nothing.

America does not have enough military to fight another war ... our troops are already stretched too thin.

If the current administration declares war against Iran because of Iran's attempt to further its nuclear technology (which any modernizing nation pursues in order to accommodate increasing energy demands), then I'll be certain this administration is NUTS.

Why are Americans so quick to believe every report that comes out of Washington? My God, multinationals fund election campaigns and control our government ... and they have their own clear agenda ...

And if the CIA and FBI didn't follow up on THREE clear reports warning of suspicious/potential terrorists in American flight schools prior to 911, and if the CIA couldn't figure out whether or not Saddam had WMD, then why in the heck would anybody even seriously believe their warnings about Iran?

I am all for it, not just because of Iran's plans for developing Nuclear weapons for for some of the following reasons
Way back in 1979 and bunch of Islamic extremist fanatics held a bunch of Americans hostage for over a year. US Navy diver Robert Stethem, a US Navy diver who in 1988 was onboard a commercial aircraft when it was hijacked by Islamic extremists. He was tortured and killed and his body dumped out the door like garbage. The bombing of the US Embassy in Lebanon where over 250 marines were killed. I could go on and on the list goes all the way back to the late 70's. The common thread is the Iranians either perpetrated these acts directly or they helped train and fund the Islamic extremist groups. Iran has been at war with us indirectly for 30 years we have just ignored it.
Now it is time for payback, you should get on your knees and thank Allah that I am not President, if I was the only thing left in Iran right now would be Oil wells and smoking craters. I served in the Army between 89-91 and am a desert storm vet, If there is a ground war in Iran I will do my best to get back on active duty so I can issue some payback directly. My motto will be "Nuke their a$$ and take the Gas"

Have a nice day!

why would we start a war for nothing? um burying nuclear facilities and allowing no inspections, then the president of Iran says that Iran will export that technology to more countries run by fascist(Cuba,Libya,Syria). have you ever seen star treks rules called the prime directive? its rules involving not giving advanced technology to primitive cultures. well in the show they guarded warp technology most, -in this case the USA and other "21st century"nations should not allow this to go ahead. Iran bought the technology from Pakistan and north Korea, and a Pakistani scientist showed them how to create enriched plutonium. If Iran did not have oil none of this would be a problem, even if you think bush is evil(must be kinda smart were on both sides of Iran now) The next guy is going to have to stop it or worry which way the next ones coming:)

What do you mean "a safe country???"

Do you actually live there?? When was the last time you were actually there?

The current regime is ridiculous! There are NO civil rights for women, NO middle class at all, the economy is the WORST it's been in nearly 30 years, and there are significant dangers in merely walking to get bread in the morning.

The incidents of home breakins are so great, that everyone has to have security systems or huge padlocks on their homes to avoid being burglarized weekly and the police do NOTHING.

(Or better still, the Police/Army are SO corrupt that you have to carry cash in your pocket to bribe them so you don't get carried to jail yourself!)

Please. Hell, no. I don't support Bush or the war in Iraq. My famly lives in Iran and I'm fighting to get them out. But you are so misguided to think that Iran is a "safe" place to live (I didn't even touch on medical care or pollution!) or that they are developing at a rapid pace the nuclear weapons to blow us off the map.

Get a clue.

War will be decided by the Iranian leadership and not the US or any other country. As long as your leader is allowed to speak of hate towards any western civilization, he puts Iran in a corner that they cannot get out of. The Iranian people need to fix this problem soon, If left unchecked, you leadership is leaving the rest of the world with very few options. Have your government stop the financing of terror around the world and I am sure it will work itself out. We all want peace, look into the mirror and ask yourself if you really have it ?

I feel for you my friend. But we need to kill around 50,000 civilians in your country (Iran) to liberate you from the tyrant (your president). Maybe we will have to torture some of your people down there but that would not be a big problem to us and should not be to you either. War on terror requires some sacrifices to be made. We gonna save you.
Good luck. God bless America (or Allah bless America)
With lots of love
American citizen and your friend

See you on the battle field...

(this was a joke, hope you understand) I am against the war in Iraq. And I will be against the war in Iran.

This is NOT a War against Iran, this is a order
to shoot, kill or capture Iranians who are helping
the enemies of Iraq try and undermine the legal Government of Iraq. The US would like to help certain Iranian groups in Iran try to topple the
oppressive government and not have a war.
President Bush does NOT want a war with Iran!!!

It seems that several people who have answered this question have Iraq and Iran mixed up.
As you know we are at war in Iraq and most of the people here in the USA are against it. As far as Iran goes it is the fear of the development of nuclear power that may be used to develop a bomb by your current regime. And I am fairly sure the average American is not in favor of a war there or any place else unless we are attacked.

It's tough because the average joe is just a pawn in international politics.

Bush supporters will say you need to oust your current government to replace it with one more sympthetic with the republican intrerests, but are those interests aligned with yours/iranians?

If not, I preach Ghandis' pacifist approach. Unarmed people die at the hands of the power brokers, but they will die when they take up arms anyway, and this path leads to the quickest change for the fewest lives. I hope.
