I am in for 2 years we both from middle east and from different nationality but we live in same country we start thinking about the future to be together his family they need him to marry from his country but he refused us he told me his dreams to be with me he promise me he will talk again his father he don’t want another girl this happen 2 weeks ago so I am waiting the answer yes or no but he told for my friend if he talk his father he will give him same word he have to marry from his country and I am confused what I have to do sometimes they way he behave with it is not normal did I keep distance from him or did I tell him we cannot be any more together I feel he will follow his family’s word sometimes I have some feelings may be he need reason to be far from me please I need your opinion please I am tired

I know it hurts and it really is horrible to wait, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT! If he really loves you and wants to be with you then he will come back to you. He should not let his father control who he loves and marrys. By pleasing his father and marrying a girl from his country, he is going to be very upset in the long run. Don't wait longer than you should....because if he cannot see a good thing right in front of him (you) then he is not worth it. I know your tired and frustrated....he should not be doing this to you. The meeting he has had with his family I think has caused him to have doubts ,Perhaps they have tried to pressurize him and make him change his mind.Can you ring or text him? He has a responsibility to you and this silence is unfair .If he wishes to marry you he must make a decision,he owes you that at least ,either way he must choose his course of action.Perhaps he is not ready to commit ,it is a big step and one that needs great thought.If you still want to marry him ,then you will have to speak with him and soon.
