what do u mean by introduce??? its already there, all higher educations are in english, english has been in use as an official language....so what do u mean by introduce???
and yes, although its not true that only english speeakers are intelligent, but we must learn and try to well versed in english along with our mother tounge and our national language.
because it has been found that we have superior edge over other peoples in the world in which we can speak atleast 3 differnt languages along with english.
but our problem is the inferiority complex in speaking our own languages, and thinking that if we speak english then n then only we r modernized.
so simple mantra is..be skilled in our mothertounge, nationaltounge, and ofcourse in internationaltounge (i.e. english)

English is an official Indian language and it was introduced a few hundred years back in India. Now it is a part and parcel of India. We need English as it is a universal language and helps authors like Rushdie, Desai, Roy win prizes...
People versed in English are not necessarily geniuses, but it gives them an edge in the rat race!
As far as the most popular language is concerned...I beleive all languages are popular in their respective countries.
Chinese is the one that has the most number of native speakers in the world!

Depend on them. Arabic Language I believe is the best language on the earth and even the whole universe. English Language is well known spoken becouse it's easy to use in many countries, that's all! French Language is an abstract language which most people used it would likely believe that is a "vogue" language. Another language..... hmmmm..... depends on what language is it.

Where is the question of introducing? When Britishers invaded our country then itself English also invaded. Sanskrit is disappearing, our other languages are being sidelined. in the guise of IT the countrty needs most of the English knowing people. Government talks in english giving second treatment to their mother tounge.
English has alrady established. Think how you can protect your Mother tounge. Protect the fabric of culture of this land. keep way for all the Indian languages. even if you want to learn English no one will come in your way. my Mother first and then others. K.P.Pradyumna.

so?...it is a wonderful language,and opens a lot of windows into knowledge.
if u don't want English in India try translating the billions of books in mother tongue.
m.k .Gandhi advocated education in mother tongue...when he himself got all the wisdom to say that much from English education in a English nation.

No i dont think english is the best laguage on earth.and no i dont think tat only people who r well versed in english r worth or intelligent, there r many intl figures npolitical figures who do not know english and yet they r what they r doing the best of thier work for thier countries. and if u dont know, India does know english and its not tat they r living without it or i mean , wut ws tat suppose to mean by "introducing"??Indias most population is speaking english though it reflects no respect wen ur talkin abt or to an elder, its you, he, she...jus a plain thing for evryone. and im sure manyother languages have different use of words for younger ppl n older ppl...u know wuti mean if u understand wut im saying???

No it is not necessary at all.This is simply a sign of slavery
attitude.Moreover young generation prefer it because it get
them job but on cultural level,Other languages also needs
patronage.
