This is hurting me, but I'm getting the inclination that he's not into me, although he tells me that I'm what he would desire in a wife, he doesn't call often and I feel very distant from him like he's putting a guard up. I'm unhappy and can't think about anything else. Shall I just stop calling him? I honestly don't think he's worth me telling him it's not working? what do you think? Maybe if I tell him "It's not working" do you think he's up his game? I'm confused about what he wants...etc

It would seem that you are seeing the writing on the wall. Trust your instinct. Don't call for a while. Let him miss you. When he sees that you are making a life without him, he will come running. If he is distancing himself, it is because he doesn't want to make a committment. Leave him be for a while and see what develops. If he doesn't call after some time, call him to tell him it's over.
