Lie detectors can be fooled. Many persons have passed lie detectors and found guilty by preponderance (majority) of evidence. Also people have failed the lie detector and have been innocent.

In many instances the law used lie detectors and people passed, but the accused were told that they failed. Gaining confessions under false conditions.

I work with many Attorneys and Judges, always request a lawyer if you are arrested. Even consider one if taken in for questioning and your Miranda rights are read to you.

If you are read your Miranda Rights there is a line that states “Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law”

What does this say?? You got it. EVERYTHING you say can be manipulated to make you look guilty.

They are used, but simply as tool for the police. If you show that you are lying on the test then the police will try to get a written confession out of you. The lie detector results are not admissible in court, but a confession that you wrote or a video of you confessing is 100% admissible.

Alright, Alex. Try to use the English language correctly. How about "Why aren't lie detectors used..."? Better yet, it is inappropriate to use contractions in written speech, so try "Why are lie detectors no longer used in the criminal justice system?"

Why should you be concerned with such profund legal matters when you are unable to construct a legitimate english sentence?
