Yes, I do wonder about the people answering these questions. I try to be truthful, honest and sincere.

I am more appalled about the lack of thought put into the questions. There is one question that asks about ratsism (trying to say racism). Not only am I appalled at the lack of spelling ability in a country that has universal schooling but that if they were trying to sound something out why didn't they use spell check right above the box! I'm not even as much of a grammar and spelling Nazi as some of my friends but COME ON PEOPLE!

It really depends on people. Do you really think all of us tryin to just get points for scrathing something on a paper that doesnt make sense? Not all of us here for best answers number. I am sure it is cool to get voted for best answer thats means you did something right. Usually when i see a good question I try hard to answer it the best to my knowledge. If it help people I am happy about it. Now there are different people out there that answered some of my questons with some dumb and unthoughful advices so i try not to let that bother me but listen only to those who sound mature and sound like they know what they are talking about.

I think the questions and answers are reflections of the people doing the asking.
Sometimes, you get an almost unreadable question...by someone who may be hurried, frantic, or just not paying attention...
you get perverted or gross questions from twisted minds that assume that all ANY of us is interested in is sex....
some of the questions are light-hearted fluff, from people who are bored and don't have a life...
some of the questions are life and death, from people who seemingly have Nowhere else to turn to, and in desperation ask us to convince them of why they shouldn't die...

even for a life and death question, there is ALWAYS going to be a thoughtless moron who is going to say JUMP and think that they are funny...
and there will be 65 more people who, reflecting themselves and their attitudes, will try their BEST to give the right answer to talk that person into hanging on, believing that life IS worth living, and that they should go talk to someone REAL.
There are good people everywhere, and there are morons...
just like in real life, you quite often have to wade through the manure to get to the good stuff!

I always wonder about the people who leave an answer JUST to insult the person who asked the question. I wonder what theyre like in person, but Im guessing that since they have to be big and bad when theyre hiding behind a computer screen..theyre probably geeky wimps in real life.

For instance--the almost famous guy above me has been answering questions all over yahoo to insult people. From this we can gather that he's probably a 90 pound geek that gets picked on in school and needs to unleash his pent up rage on people who cannot physically beat the crap out of him. .......sad huh? his mother probably still picks out all his clothes.. tsk tsk tsk...

I personally only answer questions either I have personal experience in or genuine opinions on. But you do have to take the answers with a grain of salt. Take what you want and leave the rest. It's very clear that many answers are just to get a rise out of us, meant to be mean or are just sarcastic.

Some of the answers I have read are just by people either trying to recieve attention, only answering with stupid replies to be annoying, others showing their lack of intelligence and maturity. Those, I simply ignore and pay attention to the answers with more quality. And anything with less than a 3-word answer, I completely ignore.

Yeh, there could be some weird people out there!
I answered one to a crazy guy and I am sure he just
wanted to upset all the females out here. Anyhow
he got to me and I had to tell him how I felt. I did thank
him for my points though.
There are a lot of vulnerable people that are asking
serious questions too - and they deserve a serious
answer.

Some people who answer seem genuine, and yes their answers are helpful. Then there are others who are disrespectful, some are funny, and finally some are outrageous. I believe that the majority are people who give answers are sincere.

Sometimes people use this as a sounding board to spew their racist views, that is sad, they are allowing hatred to control their lives, but to each his own, we are entitled to our opinions, but no one should set out to hurt or disrespect someone else.

Good question!!

well I think most are okay. I think just as many askers just don't want to hear the truth and call the answer upsetting. i've been hit with violation for that, go figure. I say if you don't want to hear the truth don't ask.

And we don't have to discuss the one who just type in a website for an answer.
