I thought about this after witnessing the aftermath of a car accident and I questioned whether I would have risked my life to save the occupants if I could have done and I believe I definitely would have. It wouldn't have been heroism just the fact that my shock and horror at what happened would have motivated me to try and help them.

For my own child in a heat beat!
For another child I think I still would as I feel the natural mother insict would kick in for any child in danger :-)
