Man has affected both of those factors. Man has been at war since Day 1. Man is slowly depleting the earth's natural resources for consumption, and one day, Mature Earth will hit back. Everything we are doing today, for the love of money, is nearing us towards our own destruction.

ou are right. man is his worst enemy. look at the hue and cry we are making of this nuclear deal with the USA. nuclear proliferation even for peaceful purposes, like generating power, is fraught with great danger. i strongly believe that if we do not stop this spread of nuclear technology, even for peaceful purposes, we will destroy ourselves in the next 50 years. we are allowing old people like manmohan singh and George bush to decide our future. India does not need nuclear energy. clean coal technologies and alternate fuels can be discovered/invented and are good for us. stop the spread of nuclear technology in India.

It won't be any one of thise single things, but a combination of all those problems, and more. You just hit the reaason I'm never having kids... I love them too much to bring them here to face the music when the lights finally go out one day! Talk about anarchy and the fall of society, it will be UGLY.
