I'm a college freshman dude, and the second semester just started. I saw a girl I found quite attractive in my English class. She's got the eyes that totally win me over. I want to start talking to the girl starting from next class. According to her facebook profile, she's single and interested in men (doesn't say if she's looking for dating though). I will sit next to her, but I don't know what the proper things to say are. I really like the girl, and I am really really hoping that I get to date this girl. Since I'm not much of a chick magnet, I am honestly a little worried. Ive been rejected so many times. I keep thinking, "Will she ever give me a chance?" Even if she happens to reject me, I wanna at least do everything properly. Please give me some constructive step-by-step guide for getting the girl. Thank you.

Hey...i'm a freshie in college...and well I seen a guy I was digging too...checkd his facebook and everything as well...heres my advice if you want to get to talk to her...miss a day of class! and then go back the next time and ask if you can borrow her notes @ the beginning of class...while ur copying what you missed strike up a fun and casual conversation with her...
then go back to ur house or dorm and add her as a friend on ur facebook...and continue chatting it up with her...
ask how her classes are going...whatever...use her facebook as a guide...if it says her fav show is american idol...start watchin AI and talk about it...
once u think u have won her over...just ask her out...for coffee or something...or even for a study session for ur english class...

GOOD LUCK!

It isn't as hard as you seem to think. Just be yourself. You appear to be a very nice person.

A little hint on the conversation side: strike up a conversation about the subject of your English class. You could for instance look up some interesting fact about a specific author before class. Or you could talk about current affairs, the sunshine/snow outside, a film you would like to see sometime... Anything that comes naturally.

If she replies (which she most certainly will) you will have some common ground. Work from there. And don't try to seduce her in two minutes. It may take a few weeks of exchanging small talk before you ask her out.

Good luck!

Well the first thing to do is start just talking to her about what you are both doing, in class or whatever, just start being her friend, someone she can confide with and help her with, and always be there for her and if she needs someone to talk to, girls always need that, and they especially appreciate that in a guy, they usually get that from their girlfriends, but to get that from a guy is really special. You never know, that is the kind of boyfriend everyone wants, just don't go too fast and scare her of, she has to really trust you. Good Luck.

Hey, I'm four years younger than you but you need help so here it goes.

1) Be nice and just ask some easy questions. (e.i. So that homework was pretty hard, huh?)
2) Make sure your breath smells OK.
3) Take it slow
4) Put on some cologne (BUT NOT TO MUCH!! a faint cologne smell works wonders)
5) This might take a while. Ask if she wants to sit with you at lunch.
6) Please back off if she is genuinely not interested. But don't back off if she is just shy.

Just talk to her. Hi how are you? Make small talk, talk about your classes. You have to make friends with her before you can ask her out on a date. Take things slow be friendly try to strike up a conversation Find things you both have in common. If she rejects you, you won't die. Trust me, rejection is my middle name.
