I think a succubus usually targets guys and an incubus usually targets girls, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I was visited by an incubus during my sleep one night after having too much to drink.. I woke up feeling quite sore. I suspected my roomate but he denied and offered the incubus explanation.

Yeah, but you wouldn't necessarily know it is a succubus, you might just think your dreaming of some hot woman.

both are male... the succubus is in female form... they are lesser spirits of the Qlippoth and can both enslave and be enslaved. THey are 'vampiric' in nature and target whatever is easy prey.

they are symptoms of hypnagogic state during sleep paralysis...
this is a state in which the body releases hormones to prevent us acting out our dreams
often it is released too early or people wake during it
leaving them in a state of paralysis and with waking dreams so to speak
incubus , old hags syndrome , alien abduction are just a few of the reported events during such states
