I wrapped my sons dreadlocks one week ago, but they are not locking up. Help any suggestions now!!!

did you use beeswax or let's lock? did he already have locs or are they brand new? you might want to take him to a salon and have them start it... find out what products they use, watch how they do it an then do them yourself in the future

wool wraps are a good idea, wool will make the dreads bond better. ive had luck with hemp in the past. dont go to a salon.. that is cheating, and just downright lame. other then that, backcombing more if that is needed.. i guess it depends on how far along they are, and what method you chose. also, if youre using wax you should try applying it, and then using a hair dryer to melt it into the dreads!
