Are there any ladies out there who don't shave, wax, pluck,or closely trim their pubic hair, and keep themselfs natural or am I one of the last? I know it's down personal choice but I have read many posts on this subject and many of the replies have a hate towards pubic hair and it's wrong and shouldn't be on a woman and it's not "normal" dirty and unhygienic which it clearly is not?..why do some think this?..just because it's the fashion to remove the hair does that mean everyone has to do it? I mean if everyone was jumping of cliffs like lemmings would you?

Your not the last. I am all natural in every area I can be. I do trim up on the sides though. I told my Mom last year not to dye her hair (on her head) as she could have a stroke. She was dying it the day I called to tell her not to and she had a stroke. I use Henna. I believe we should try to stay close to the earth and it's healthy elements.

I read this below years ago by a doctor who specialized in Puberty related issues.

Why do we have pubic hair?
Pubic hair is not necessary until Puberty. Puberty is the dawning of our sexual age. Pubic hair allows for a better flow during sex and reduces friction. During sex their is sweat and sweat causes the skin to stick to each other. Pubic hair provides a barrier and cushion to the sweat. The pubic hair stays dry and so therefore absorbs the moisture from the sweat making sex more pleasurable. If a young boy or man does not have an erection then his pubic hair keeps his skin and penis from sticking. This actually keeps the penis healthier and cleaner from bacteria.

I just read on a health forum where men and women who have had their butt hairs extracted to keep them from growing back now have an odor issue they are dealing with. I guess they can't smell themselves but others can. I guess the anal hair has a purpose too.

All I can say is that at this point the thought of a man's pubic hair shaved would not be very appealing to me. It would actually gross me out. It grosses me out knowing that women shave theirs too.

Just like when you first shaved your legs, the itching will eventually go away, and you will be able to shave yourself the same as shaving any other part of your body. There are a few things you can do to make it better. 1) Always Always ALWAYS use a new razor. Trust me – a $1.50 is a small price to pay for comfy cootchie... to say nothing of one without scars from using a dull razor on it. 2) Shave regularly. If you shave daily, or every-other day you will never have to deal with stubble, or worry about being caught in an compromising position with 5 o’clock shadow on your girl. Personally, when I am shaving instead of waxing, I shave every morning before jumping in the shower, it only takes a minute once you get the hang of it, and keeps you feeling fresh and pretty. 3) You can get a tube of stuff called “bikini Zone” at the drug store. Look for it near the girls shaving cream. It helps a lot, but won’t make up for a dull razor. While you are there – get a pack of new razors. 4) Wax. Yes, it hurts, but only for a second or two, and it lasts much longer – a few weeks usually. Don’t worry about the embarrassment issue – the girls who do it, do it all day every day. They have seen your parts. It also hurts less after you do it a few times and know what to expect. I think the pain is mostly in the head... if you don’t think it will hurt much – it won’t – but if you think it is unbearable, it will be. 5) remember that bald is beautiful. This is just a part of being a girl, and like everything else, it will get better. But you do have to do it.

There are many factors that can attribute to hair recession or massive hair fall and you need to find out which one exactly is responsible for the problem you are having now. Of course male pattern baldness is still the most common cause, but, for instance, if you are a woman things are deinitely different! This is the reason why you will need to really dig down and see the source of your problem.

Other causes of hair loss may include (both in men and women): severe mental or emotional stress, excessive use of coloring or bleaching agents, traction alopecia or excessive strain on the scalp due to braiding or corn rowing, hormonal changes, alopecia areata or hair loss due to autoimmune diseases, and many more. Each of these conditions will require a different approach in order to achieve success regardless of whether you're going to be using conventional or natural methods.

In my opinion it's much better to use natural methods as opposed to conventional ones, they're cheaper, have less to no side effects, and often more effective.

A good way of regaining your full head of healthy natural hair is well described on this guide: http://hairagain.toptips.org

I prefer a real woman and I find a full triangle of pubic hair very sexy and attractive, there nothing wrong with pubic hair on a woman and it is no way dirty or unhygienic.I think it's down to the porn industry and media pressurising girls/woman into what they think a "perfect" woman should look like, you only have to watch fashion shows on the television or pick up a magazine where you see models are all thin as a rake and not a single strand of body hair. But I'll let you into a little secret , there is no right or wrong way how a woman should keep her pubic hair, what ever state she feels comfortable to keep it in then that's her decision, and should not be pressurised into changing the look.

your right there are allot of people out there that shave or feel that way about shaving. it's all about personal choice, if that's how you feel comfortable. Though it's probably not wise not to trim before wearing a bathing suit or something of that nature.

I personally love pubic hair - including under the arms.

It's sexy - and does trigger the imagination!

In China - I live in Hong Kong - many women do not shave under their arms. It took some getting used to - especially when one society (the western one!) has always said how unsightly, and un-ladylike it is to have it!

You hit the nail on the head when you referred to it as a fashion thing. Moral codes come and go ...and then return again! I'm sure before too long - it'll be the 'in-thing' in Europe to not shave - and perhaps the opposite in China!

It's a personal preference - but one that's influenced by what others say. As soon as people start going against the general, accepted 'norms' - they'll discover a world that is far more exciting!

And that includes the amazing sensuality of pubic hair!!!

I'm kind of on your side. The idea of Brazilian waxes came from the porn industry so the only men who thinks that this degree of hairlessness is desirable are going to have had limited experience with real women and some very questionable internet habits.

That said, trimming is a good idea if you want to wear skimpier types of underwear. Otherwise you end up with a 'knicker moustache'.
