somewhere in germany or poland in the second world war when russia invaded poland. i am looking for my fathers grave who was killed in1945 his german army no is 28378 or28387 name of Bruno Karl Herrman Pohl

apisbelifera is right; Ostsee means "Baltic Sea" "Bad" refers to a (seaside) spa town, Leba is now called "Łeba" and the Polish name for "Lavenburg" in Pomerania is "Lębork". "Kreis" means "district", by the way.

It is actually called : Ostseebad .... It lies along the Baltic Sea In Northern Germany . The Province of Pommern of course surrounds it . I spent 6 months in 1943 in Bad Bansin which is close to there . Why don't you visit sometime and enjoy the fresh air from the Baltic Sea, stroll along the beaches and collect some Amber which is sometimes to be found there .
My grandfather was born in Pommern . Gee, I am getting in the mood to go back myself .LOL

Lavenburg is a town in Pomerania. Ostee means East and kreis means cross. perhaps a google on some of those words might pull up a match.
