well it was kinda hanging loose from the wall already then my mom just yanked it out so i only see wires sticking out right now

Well you didn't say what is wrong with it but from my co it costs over $100 per jack to get fixed.

Look for loose screws on the jack itself.(or even pieces of wire not connected to anything but the screws).. Connect the Red and Green wires (if that is what is damaged colored wires connected to screws) to the corresponding colors on the jack. Plug the phone into jack and see if you have dial tone, If you do, then screw the plate back onto the wall box and you're good to go. (or buy a new wall plate/phone jack at hardware store and the instructions are in the package. Good luck.

Connect the green wire to the green lead of the jack and the red wire to the red lead of the jack thet's all there is to it. Good luck. Visit the site below, it has helpful information about the topic:
