Because we are living in 2Timothy 3:1-9 times.
1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

You speak as though the history is filled with love and happiness.. It is far from it. We are gaining love for one another, there is room for improvement and we are improving.
I do not understand why so many people think these are the worst of times. They really do not understand it could be a lot worst and has been in the past.
Look at Slavery, sexism, there are so many examples.. we are moving away from the horrors that were once a big part of the world.. Is it honestly getting worst? No we are headed in the right direction. It is hard to see this because of all of the bad news. Rest assured, if acts of kindness received as high a rating as tragic events you would be seeing just how much better our world is.

I suspect that because it is now a normal thing to say, 'nice day,isn't it?, and get the response of 'not that nice!'....We are so tied into being adept at giving negative responses to everything and being contrary no matter what the topic (just because it becomes habit) that we can't love each other the way it is comfortable to..which leads me to a question that has been asked many times...are you happy ?

Maybe due to the transience of a throw away society. Anybody out there know the name of the clerk at their local convenience store. People chating on internet instead of going to bars; growing up our whole neighborhood had parties; many people today do not even know their neighbors.
PS please stop using the word "love"; it always sounds wishy washy and trite -- one expects it to be followed by something redundant. I don't love anyone I don't know; but I do "respect" their humanity, soul, whatever.

this is our last days. brother against brother. father against son. same sex couples. today men let evil take over. At school, at the store, on television, too much evil and not enough god. Men don't teach children to go to church today. most feed into the devil ways. and the devil takes control and man don't know what to do and next hating you know man hating everybody and think he doing right. Someone do you wrong don't get even forgive that person shake their hand, tell them you love them. maybe that person would not be so mean to the next person that comes along. Invite them to come to church.
