Get rid of the rats and you'll have an even more serious mouse and cockroach problem. They are both much nastier than rats in their personal habits, and they eat more food meant for human consumption. Rats kill and eat mice in addition to cockroaches and other insects.
There are ways to keep rats out of buildings but they aren't often used due to greater construction costs and ignorance.
Rats make excellent pets. I would love to see a world in which every stray dog, cat, and rat found a home. In my neighborhood, the biggest pests are chickens!

hey.. i dont think a cat is a good idea unless u want a cat.. you cant just get a cat because u have rats. i had the same problem with the mouse traps but try getting a bigger size (like rat traps).. and putting something smaller on them.. another way to trap mice or rats is get a bucket (tall) and put peanut butter around the top rim of the bucket.. then fill about 2 inches of the bucket with water, then you put it in a spot that they can access the peanut buttter (like below the edge of a table) and they will try to eat the peanut butter and fall into the water and drown. or try poison if you dont have any animals living in yourhouse

You need to stay very very clean all the time, and need to stop promoting a kind of 'race' popular with rats! Some fumigation and rat traps and a lot of cats around will also help the cause!

no u cannot get rid of them but u can use a rat killer or u can adopt a pet like cat.

we cant get rid of rats completely,even human get extinct rats will remain.a scientific study recently revealed.

Not trying to be the devils advocate here,,,,,,(okay I am)...rats are quite clean and tidy for real, they do not transfer disease and they clean themselves with the sam vigor as cats...I like cats...I like rats...(a Dr. Seuss moment)...good day to ya

Do you agree that GOD created every life?
With that HE created a food chain also.Rat is also a part in the chain.If it is eliminated the chain will be disturbed,and it affect some where.Hence it is better that their population is kept in check.
