It depends on where you live. Various cities and towns have rules and regulations on this. Check with your local building authority or a local contractor in the area. usually they're more than willing to help.

My personal opinion is to have one door for the bathroom, firstly for privacy and secondly for odor control (we want to smell it going in, not out!) And to have the kitchen open to the rest of the house so everyone can smell what's cooking, and what's burning!

you need only one door but there must also be a deviding space between them i lived in an old victorian house like that the seperation area was the back door to the garden

1 i would have thought because you need a bathroom door but you dot need a kitchen door as not all doors are fire resistant so i suppose you dont need 1

Mostly its 2 but if you get in touch with your local council planning office they will almost certainly put you right to the current requirements

my mum was advised two although she made a utility room then bathroom coming from kitchen.

the answers one ..only the environmental health people insist on two but only when they are giving a grant .one complies with building regs
