Hey, I did it for neighbors and friends of friends from 13 on up. The fact that you went and got a First Aid certificate out of your own money shows definite initiative and responsibility--more than most parents would expect, I think.
Expect the parents to interview you, but you sound like a responsible, thoughtful young lady, and I would most likely hire you if you were in my neighborhood.
Good luck!

I wouldn't be trusting my children with a 14 year old but then again I was asked many times to baby sit when I was 14. Mostly only family members though.
You can only give it a go, having your first aid certificate is an up. Otherwise I'd be looking at doing a course so you are quilifed.

If you are a mature 14 year old you could try? ask your old neighbours to write you a reference and put an ad up in the local shop saying 'experienced babysitter' available. You should put your age on there too so people wont change there mind when they meet you and disappoint you. You could offer a free trial to prove you are capable. Good luck x

I personally would not leave my child in the care of a 14 year old. But that's just me.
However, if you were babysitting at your home, and your parents were home, I'd take a chance on you (after a long conversation with your parents).
P.S.: I made a LOT of money babysitting when I was younger. I started when I was 17.

Go for it, print up cards and flyer's on your computer and hand them out. Make sure to say that you are First aid certified. It is a good idea to have a trusted adult that you can call in case of a minor emergency! Good for you, I would let you watch my kids!

I think you could be trusted. You have some experience. The first aid certificate is a good thing too.

Sorry but personally I wouldn't leave my children with someone who is 14. It is just to big of a responsibility.

depends. Are you mature. Can your mum be called on for help if you need it? How long the babysitting is for.
