nobody knows. Bats consume huge amounts of mosquitos, as well as other insects. They would likely become rarer or extinct, and animals or plants that depend on them would suffer, and so on...
Because all species exist in the food chain, any break would have unforeseeable consequences

Animals that only eat mosquitoes are mostly birds and very few others. But if mosquitoes are extinct, birds will be extintc earlier. Mosquitoes have a high adaptative capacity.Their eggs resist very extreme temperatures for long periods of time.

And of course, much higher capacity than humans for survival as species.

Many creatures eat mosquitos. Bats, Frogs, Dragon and Damselflies other insects, fish.

I use to live in Houston, where they would regularly go up and down the streets fogging for mosquitos. Since it was an every-year occurance, it obviously didn't wipe them out in enough numbers to feel safe. So any attempt to destroy them the world over would pretty much be moot anyway....there's a real reason why they've existed since before the days of the dinosaurs.

Bats and some kind of fish (they eat larvae) feed on mosquitoes: also some smaller birds! Mosquitoes may not be very popular with humans, comparable to bed bugs, and some other pests: so their extinction willbe greeted with some relief!

Bats are great flying insect preditors, and mosquitos are top of thier list. Reptiles and amphibians also enjoy them, as well as other insects, fish, birds. Mosquitos have a purpose as a source of food. If not for this reason, I would like to have them
become extinct. Same for black flies and no see-ums.

I am not aware of any species that ONLY eats mosquitoes. Bats eat them in great numbers but they will snack on any flying insect. What would happen? I would be a lot happier. Diseases in tropical areas would scale back enormously. In essence the world would be a better place without them.

I would imagine fish eat them.. All creatures on this earth play an important role thats what I believe anyway. Its all about the balance of nature. Even though some creatures are a danger to Humans I believe they serve a purpose. Humans are the biggest pests of all, We are the biggest cause of extinction amongst animals, we cause pollution and diseases, we are the pests of this world. If animals could talk to us they would ask us to disapear.
