Pronounciation :
- French is the most difficult : many sounds (especially nasal sounds) that don't exist in Englsih.
- Italian and Spanish are far less difficult.
Spelling :
- French is the most difficult : many letters are not pronounced and there are always several ways of writing the same sound. So it's difficult, even for the French, to remember the right spelling of a word.
- Spanish is easier but "v" and "b", "z" and "c" corespond to the same sound so spelling mistakes can easily be made.
- Italian is definitely the easiest one : a very phonetical spelling.
Genders :
All nouns in those languages have a gender : masculine or feminine. You have to know the gender of a noun in order to use the right article and find the right ending of adjectives.
- French : the most difficult one because, in most cases, there is no way to guess the gender of a noun. You have to learn it.
- Spanish is a bit easier because the ending of nouns sometimes indicate their gender.
- Italian is the easiest one because the ending of a word aways indicate its gender.
Learning new vocabulary :
- French words are the easiest to learn because they are so often similar to their English counterparts (ex : "a lamp" is "une lampe", "a table" is "une table"...)
- Italian and spanish may be a bit more difficult.
Grammar :
The grammar is more or less the same in all those languages.
Making mistakes when you speak :
- You'll make less mistakes when speaking in French because the ending of words is not pronounced (only written) in French.
- In Italian and Spanish, the ending of words, wich changes according to the gender and wether you use the singular or the plural, is pronounced so you have to be as carefull when you speak as when you write.
Dialects :
- French is more or less spoken the same way everywhere (Canada being the exception). So, if you speak French, you can speak it with all French speakers.
- In Italy there are many different dialects. Italian is not spoken the same way in Tuscany, in Rome, in Venice and in Sicily.
- Spanish also has many different dialects.
Hope this will help.

I would say Italian. Spanish is very easy as a spoken language, the beauty of it is that you read it as you see it, but the grammer's quite hard. French is not that hard if you speak good English, the only problem that most people find is the accent. Accent is very important to be obtained in French, not like English where it doesn't matter what accent you have. I hope that helps you a bit.

Since Spanish, Italian and French all are evolved from latin they have a similarity and they also fal in the same category of language called Romance language.
So their grammar is also similar. but French is the most difficult one becuase they write one thing on paper and pronounce something else and it is not at all phonetic. Every word contains redundant lettrs which is very difficult to remember.

I'd say French.
I study Spanish and Italian at college and they're pretty similar and pretty easy to catch onto. I have a jist of how French works and it confuses me, lol. French has weird grammar stuff that doesn't happen in Spanish and Italian.

I'd say French. Because if you know Spanish, you can easily learn Italian and vice versa. But French grammar and spelling (even pronounciation) is quite different and hard. Some things are comlicated in Spanish like the verbs 'ser' and 'estar', but it's easier than french.

I know a bit of all three. Italian is the hardest because 1. they have 8 definite articles and 8 indefinite articles. Try remembering which to uses for what!
