Hi, I am 32 years old, and have just begun to break out like a teenager! I'm not kidding - I feel awful. I had really bad spots as a teenager, so i didnt expect to get them again in my 30's!! I always cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and night, and I do a deep cleanse mask once a week. I eat all the right foods - havent changed my diet lately. I dont eat greasy food or chocolate, drink plenty of water - I really dont understand what is happening, but i dont like it. I feel like a freak when i take my kids to school. They are so bad it hurts to cover them up with foundation, and that doesnt work properly anyway.

Please help me!

Avoid commercial skin products completely. These only serve to block your pores so that they can't breathe at all. The lotion or soap itself may feel soothing, but it is doing serious damage in the process.

Get some pine tar soap in either bar or liquid form and wash the affected areas with this. Rinse with a solution of 50% apple cider vinegar and 50% warm water. Pat dry rather than rubbing. Additionally, ingest at least a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. You can add it to your apple juice or a glass of water or make a kind of tea with it by adding it to a cup of steaming water or have a salad with apple cider vinegar and oil as the dressing. This will help work on the problem from the inside while you are working on the problem on the surface.

Pine tar soap is a specialty item that might not be readily available in most stores. The best place to find it is on ebay. Just type in the key words "pine tar soap" and you will find it readily available by home soap makers. There is a business that caters to primarily back-to-the-land types and the Amish communities called Lehmans. The link to pine tar soap is included below.

Pine tar soap is an effective cleanser for all types of skin problems including acne, psoriasis, eczema, itches, rashes and even diaper rash on babies.

Do you have any extra added stress in your life right now?? Stress messes with our hormones and can cause break-outs. Take some times for yourself, after all, us mom deserve time to relax as well.

The only other thing I could think of is that maybe your skin is reacting to the type of cleanser and moisturizer you are using. Sometimes even if you have been using the same type for years, your skin can decide one day that it doesn't like it. Are yours hypoallergenic?? Look for ones that are. I use department store brands, but if you don't want to spend that much, Aveeno or even Dove have very good lines of skin care.

Wow, this is a tough one. Have you tried the medicated washes/creams that you can buy in the drug store? I would maybe try one of those and if you still aren't having any luck...have your doctor refer you to a dermatologist. Good luck!

I know tanning salons are not supposed to be good for you but for some people, a visit to the tanning bed actually dries up the blemishes. Good luck!

It could be several things ie stress, new soap, detergent and fabric softeners. If you haven't changed any of those things then talk with a dermatologist to see whats causing this.
