How many days / nights per week can I stay at my ex's house before she is no longer classed as a single parent ? She is extremely worried that she may lose her income support / housing benefit. I am not working at present, or claiming any benefits of any kind. She is living with kids and receives income support and housing benefit.

If in UK there is not a set down number of nights you can stay at your ex's house. It doesn't work like that. If the authorities get on to you as is happening frequently they will monitor the situation over a period and if in their opinion are not happy with what's going on your ex will be called for interview under caution and likely to be in trouble as they will have the evidence of when you stayed etc and wouldn't have called a person in if they were not suspicious. If you don't want to believe this why not call someone from Benefits Agency, you can remain annon and see what they say?

She could lose that staus if by letting you stay there is in violation to her income and housing status. She is a single parent only because you made her that way and now she might be in jeopardy of losing her home/income.I think that as long as your clothes are not there or your not receiving mail there you might be ok but 7 nights a week might be well over the limit. Good luck. Go to work in case she needs you to help.(smiles)

properly, technically we are not married, yet we are in a 2-determine better half and children. absolutely i have not spoke of a lot that a baby is from a 2-determine or unmarried-determine better half and children. What i have spoke of that if the daddy is energetic interior the newborn's existence they look happier. There are 2 little females in my daughter's day care classification who always cry and could no longer play a lot and (even as I shouldn't understand this about them) one has a father who basically went to penal complicated, and the different's father works remote from homestead. the single which's father works remote from homestead doesn't supply any money to his spouse or 2 children (they were residing in a van till the day care requested for donations anonymously and gave them adequate money to flow right into a low-income homestead). So, even as some children come from properties the position the mothers and fathers are married it doesn't unavoidably mean they're any more effective powerful adjusted. My boyfriend and that i are not married. we are elevating 2 females (his 6 year previous lives with us finished time), and are searching ahead to a unique. we've sturdy parenting beliefs and we are both very energetic in our newborn's lives. I volunteer at our 6 year previous's college and our 4 month previous's day care after I have time. He makes particular to study to them each evening and we eat as a kin each evening. Even a unmarried determine might want to be particular to do issues "kin orientated." So i do not imagine there's a lot of a distinction. I stay interior the Southwest U.S.

any period over 7 days without a break so if you go home on day 8 and return on day 9 or 10 then you are OK

But some States vary the time to as little as 3 days and nights check with the welfare office in your State

It depends where you are I guess. She will only lose benefits if the authorities find out, so be discrete.
