I used to have extremely wavy, pretty much curly, hair. but after straightening it so often, it's suffering from heat damage. Are there any ways to treat the damage and restore my hair back to normal?

Probably not the answer you want, but you're going to have to trim off those damaged bits. No helping them now if you want your natural curl back.

I used to have VERY damaged hair, over-processed and awful hair after years of bad dye jobs, and I nursed it back to health (after chopping it all off) with weekly treatments of mayonnaise and olive oil. (not very appetising, but very very effective and cheap)

Be kind to your hair. And ditch the straightener. They're evil. Heat styling and bleach is the worst thing you can do to your hair.

Hope this helps. (I'm also a curly girl)

Are you black or white? Im mixed. I used to relax my hair a lot then so it was always straight I used straightners to keep it straigt. Im 26 and kept my hair natural since I was 18. I cornrow the crown wet the rest of my hair and scrunch it with gel activator or gel and wear it in a high ponytail it looks very sexy. But people alway ask me if its my hair or a piece. As i am black with indain blood they understand where I get the lenght from.

I think you can try putting on your hair somethings like chemical compounds they can make your hair curly but I think that your original hair will be the best.
