Depends on what you mean by "best".

If you want a good free antivirus program, try AVG.

If you don't mind paying, try McAfee.

Norton, like WIndows, is often a target for hackers who like to create exploits and irritate users, so I don't recommend it.

And whatever you do, I recommend Spybot for getting rid of spyware.

The best antivirus program is one which stops all viruses getting on your computer.

AVG & Norton dont (sorry to all you people who love AVG)

I'm looking to try one of the following:

1. Nod 32
2. Kaspersky.
3. McAfee

No one can tell you that. The best thing to do is research and shop around for programs that fit your needs and budget

Personally I use windows live one care. they give good online support stop and fixes virus problems. plus come with built in fire walls and computer tune-ups.
