My puppy is one of my only 2 family members. I treat him like my baby cause he is my baby. I lost my baby due to miscarriage and after that I got my puppy and I'm giving him all my love and care that I had stored for my baby in Heaven. And this is the only way I can feel better about loosing my baby. The problem is that I can't find many dog friendly places. Just last night I took my puppy into a store and one of the staff person told me that dog is not allowed in there. So what am I supposed to do? leave him in the car? Would you leave your infant baby in the car while you go shopping?
Anyway, so I'm really looking for dog friendly places around Southern Cali where I can spend time with my puppy.

Sweetie, honey, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Maybe you should think of trying for another baby.
Because as much as you wish it were different, it is a dog.
Dogs need to be left at home for it's own saftey.
Maybe you should seek therapy.

I am so sorry for your loss!

I understand you completely, as I have 2 babies (dogs) myself. I wouldn't leave my infant in the car, but you must understand that there are health and safety issues on bringing your pet into public places. There are way too many irresponsible people that do not properly restrain or take care of their pets, therefore, spreading disease and infections to other pet owners. Also, aggression is another issue...infants are not aggressive, but dogs can be. Again, it goes back to the irresponsible pet owner. Too many people are proud that their dog is mean and aggressive and if that dog is in a public place, it's just asking for trouble. So they must have regulations.

As far as leaving your pet in the car...you could do that. But leave the window rolled down just an inch or two for fresh air.

I notice you said you live in California. Your pet can overheat and die very quickly if you leave him in a car on a warm day - even with the window down somewhat.

I live in Minnesota and I have 2 poms. If the temperature outside is above 60, I leave my babies at home.

i am sorry for your loss sweety.. as for your pup there are not much places to take a pet .. the only animal tht can go into stores are guidedogs.. its best just to take your pet to a park,or go for a little drive and spend time there.. the only puppy store is a petstore.. stroll through a pet store and show your baby the lovely things that he can have... play with him.. read a book to him ..yes read a book.. do whatever you would if you had a baby.. as for leaving him in the car dont ask a friend to watch him while you shop thats what you would do with a baby.. foxi

I'm sorry about your baby. I know how much a dog can come to be like a baby- mine feels like my child.

What kind of dog is it? I think if you go to privately owned businesses, rather than chains, they will be more likely to accept your dog. You should make sure your puppy minds his manners in public though because you wouldn't want to give them a reason not to welcome your dog into their story, restaurant, etc.

Ikano capacity Centre in Mutiara Damansara (and under no circumstances Bandar Utama). you're allowed to deliver your canine into the procuring mall on condition that the canine behaves properly and is obedient. there is even a canine inn there too!
