u can start by following these regulative principles..
1 no intoxication (including coffee, tea, chocolates)
2 no gambling
3 no meat eating (including egg, fish)
4 no illict sex (sex only for procreation is allowed)
5 chant 16 rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra on japa beads
6 Read Srila Prabbhupada's books regularly
Offer services at the tempke centre near your home, if the temple president finds you dilligent enough he'll recommend you for initiation.
remember..if you'll be honest and sincere enough Krishna'll guide you to a bonafide spiritual master.
you can then take initiation under that spiritual master who'll then guide you to go back home back to godhead..in the kingdom of God .. Goloka Vrindvan..
