My daughter did that up until around 4. The doctor said it is due to them being frustrated and not knowing any other way to vent. Then they notice that it gets your attention so also a way to get attention.
Best thing is look in a mirror. Good chance that the child is trying to express or discuss something THEY feel is important and not getting anywhere with you on the subject.
Do you have a habit of cutting them off in mid sentence?
Do you have a habit of not taking them seriously (from a childs point of view)?
As a parent it is EXTREMELY hard to see this in ourselves. Sometimes it has absolutley nothing to do with us. But normally when kids get this frustrated we as the parent have dome something unintentionally to cause this.
Good luck.. oh.. and the terrible 2's only last about 16-18 years, depends how old they are when they finally move out :-)

Nothing a frustrated, angry 2 year old does really surprises me. Your son is especially dramatic but I doubt it's a serious condition beyond the terrible 2's. Of course, you could have him checked out. The only serious head banging condition I can think of is Autism and that would not be when he was angry. You'd know by now that something was wrong in many ways.

It is soooooo common, dont worry! Your son has learnt that if he does this then you will give him your undivided attention. He is also at the age where he is learning to communicate but he is not yet very good at it so he will be frustrated for much of the time which he expresses as temper. He will grow out of it, just dont make to much of a fuss, even if he looks like he is really hurting himself. He wont do himself a permanent injury although I know how scary it can look.

i might say the 1st time he banged his head on the floor out of organic frustration he have been given this kind of reaction from you that he desperate he'd use that one lower back. At 2 your son in annoyed with what he needs to do & what's bodily able to with the aid of fact he will no longer be able to maintain up together with his very own ideas. A 2 year previous is familiar with no incorrect way of venting unmanagable emotions consisting of frustration & anger so he will become actual. i might say try & overlook with regard to the top banging & advantages him for vocalising or dealing together with his anger in different strategies - strategies you could attainable instruct him. purely make effective you are attempting & continually stay cool, calm & amassed.

Becuase he's....... INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE.
I would suggest drugs
you can probably find a dealer out in
an ally-way or something
goodluck!
Naw im kidding.
He's just throwing tantrums. Most kids do.
You need to punish him, like set limits.
Tell him that he can't have ice cream if he keeps doing that.
But i'm not sure,
If you really wanted a straight up answer
I suggest going to a child therapist, they will help alot.
