might it result from cholesterol?

Wow, I've been suffering the same thing and I had also wondered if it was related to cholesterol or maybe blood sugar problems. I had noticed that it was worse after I ate some biscuits and another occasion when it was worse after alcohol. My doctor treated me as a bit of a worrying nutter and reluctantly said he would test for blood sugar levels but told me to try anti-fungal creams (that was after I had said both anti-histamine and corticosteroid creams didn't make any difference). I kind of think it might be a warning and I have been taking care about what I eat, using lots of hand cream and waiting to see. Why don't you try that for a couple of weeks and then go and see the doc armed with some observations? Good luck.

MMMM, tricky one, lets see.
helloo my name is yodar and as you can see from my photo im in the cosmetic industry. Now many poeple would call me daft for saying this but with the vast years of experience i've had i'd say that there is traces of fibre glass in your bed sheets, or the kids have dropped a bit of itchy powder in there as a joke.

On the other hand, which if its mine is swelling up quite well after the dog bit me, you could owe somebody some cash and thats mother natures way of saying "come on, get your hand in ya sky rocket and give em that fiver you owe em"

anyway i do hope that i've been of some assistance to you.
take care......./

poor circulation or nerve compression....perhaps you sleep with your fists clenched or you have the start of caudal tunnel syndrom (not carpal). Try to sleep with your arms straight rather than bent.

depending on your living location, very dry air and cold temps can cause itching.
