yes. Afircan american and asian skin is prone to scarring and keloids far more than any other type. If you have had a piercing or two that has done this is it very possible that a tattoo could do it. And its not the artists fault. They can only try and dissuade you from the attempt if you decide to get a tattoo after you notice that.

If you are succeptible to keloids and get a tattoo it will end up looking like a bad burn scar. ie pink and raised without the tattoo being visible. sorry.

Scarring is pretty common, but keloids or similar masses is a rather unlikely outcome. Modern methods and a skilled operator can minimize the scarring; on the other hand, some people have more sensitive skin than others. A dermatologist could probably give you better information, especially for your particular case.

yes it is possible. I saw a guy with a tattoo with keloids and it kinda looked cool because somekind of way the scarring was raised but pretty even so it made his tat look like dimensional. but some people that keloid can have tats no problem

You are probably prone to getting keloids if other members in your family may have them. Anything is possible, but always check with your doctor and not just the tattoo artist.

Yeah you can. You know black people seem to be prone to getting keloids. I understand that if a tattoo artist presses too hard while he's inking you it could really irritate the skin more than it should and result in a keloid. You have to be careful if you're dark because they may be tempted to apply more pressure.

you absolutely can. if you get keloids ever then it is a good idea to talk to your tattoo artist about it. i think it may depend on how severe they are. you may not be able to get tattooed.
