the only reason that people believe that is that the new hair grows back flat on the shaft, whereas if you shave it grows back slanted so if you run your hand against it the slanted hair feels smoother than the blunt hair. Nair makes hair go away for a longer time and as long as you keep up with it...being Nair-ing or shaving...it won't matter.

That's just a myth. It may feel that way at first as the hair grows back. The stubble feels thicker, but truly that isn't so. If that were true, then wouldn't people with thinning hair want to use this to grow more hair?

No, it's a myth. If that was the case every balding man would use nair to remove his balding hair and make the new hair grow back quicker and fuller.
