is that the dividing line between interested or in love?
I am certain I don't have these feelings for anyone but him, but is that being in love? We say "I love You", but that could be friends. I try to gauge how he treats me in comparison to how he treats other females. I don't see him hugging them or saying he loves them. I am soooo lost. What is going on in my situation? I swear I am clueless to the tenth power!

Relationships are really confusing, from a guys perspective He could just be reacting to your desire for his affection. You like the way he talks to you, and when he hugs you etc. This can be a real simple answere or a real big one.
Somepeople I catch my self hugging, dancing, flirting with just becuase when we are together thats the reaction, we both enjoy huggs etc. And i go about my day with no expectation of any fruitful intimate relationship"just friends having a great time togehter"
Some people do not emit a disire to be hugged, some even will keep you at a distance (example look how two strait guys talk. there is usally a 3 to 5 ft space between them.)
Things that you look for, are deep personal conversation"about your childhood, about your feelings towards cats etc.
Eye contact, this is a theory of mine. if a guy looks into your eyes 80 to 100% of a conversation he is attracted to you and im talking about not staring off when you talk.
also note some guys can be crazy about you but get extreamly shy, nervousness is usally a good thing. shaky hands, stuttering, him saying dumb things. I have this happon all the time!!
next time you guys are being silly and flirting around, just tell him I like you! be inocent, tell him you make my day better ect. see how he reacts if he says something similer then you too may be making progresion.
NOTE: I know that might sound a little odd to be going from saying i love you to. a very sincire and honest I like you with a smile. there is a slight possiblity that he just says that to see you smile back, and not as a deep way like lovers would.
What im getting at is , you have to really build your self a relationship, and it sounds elementry school. If you start with the small things, and work your way up. Dont come off needy, but let him now that you like it when he hugs you, complement his strong points and if he complains about flaws, say you like it becuas its part of him etc.
For the most part have fun in your relationships

He could hug his sister or mother & tell them he loves them. Sounds like friends only here. You didn't have to write that you were clueless to the tenth power, just seeing the you are female indicates that fact. J/K lol

I'd say there's more there than just friendship. Talk to him about it if you want to take things further. Just make sure that you're sure first because it's easier not to say something straight up than to take it back because you didn't think enough about it. But there's nothing better to base the start of a relationship on than friendship. If it's changed from friendship to a relationship then it's a lot stronger than just lust. Good luck!!!

you definetely have feelings for him. you're just unsure of what they are but from what i see, they're pretty strong especially since you're contemplating ...
think to yourself. would u make a move if you two had a chance? if so, go for it.
if its just a feeling, see how it goes.. if nothing comes out of it, let it pass and keep up that great friendship with him. there's nothing to lose =)
