Atheists aren't going to change their minds. The only reason that I come here is to present an arguement, that usually cuts down the middle in agreement. There is the occational person that has a biblical question that I try to help them in understanding. But, after a few visits here, its just repetition. I did learn a bit about other religions in the first few visits though.

Yes sometimes I do. I don't expect anyone to change their minds because of what I write, I just want them to know what I really believe and where I'm coming from. This way they won't get the wrong idea of what a Christian is.

I've become more selective of the questions that I choose to answer. If I think someone won't even listen because they're just trying to taunt or trick people, or if a question is just intended to insult, then I don't bother. Sometimes I just think I need a break from this website so I just leave it until another time.( It can be addictive!) But then someone like yourself gives me a good question that I could respond to so that makes it worth the while.

It is a waste of time for those that really don't want an answer, & are not being honest & sincere., It is that 1% that I am interested in. This site has become a satanic site, & I am not planning to stay on here much longer, Why, because all questions is the same, So my answers will be the same. & many of these people don't know a mouse from a rat. Their main purpose is to come on this site & act like a little kids would do,

You don't really learn anything from an atheist. And that seems to be the majority of the people on this site. Quite a few questions on here are a bunch of bs. But there can be some good arguements as well.

Its never a waste of time if you are able to share something positive about God, even if there's only one person who takes you seriously. The problem with the religious section on this site is that its impossible to really discuss anything; no one comes here with an open mind honestly seeking to understand things about others' beliefs, and the ones who do are put down until they keep their mouths shut. The bad attitude of most people towards Christians (that we're all hateful and judgemental, that we're insane, that we've got the intellectual capabilities of pond scum) puts us all on the defense, and therefore we're not able to recognize a real person in need when we see one.

For example, I read a question that a girl had posted asking for advice about the hateful attitude of most people in her church, and she was immediately shut down because other Christians simply skimmed over the question and assumed she was another Atheist trying to stir up trouble. She commented that most of the answers simply confirmed her doubts that any Christians were REALLY filled with the love of Jesus. What if this girl, asking for help, was nudged on to the wrong path because the questions normally posted here have made us so quick to assume that she was just another person putting us down.

I don't think that there's any point in arguing with the Atheists' propaganda and insults. We only fuel the fire and in turn, bring out the worst in ourselves even if our intentions are to defend our belief in the Creator. These people obviously have their mind made up already, and aren't prepared to listen to anything we have to say. I think, as Christians, we should stand up and refuse to continue this bitter battle and only answer questions where we can truly help another person and glorify God. Letting our anger get the best of us due to someone else's insults only gives our adversary the upper hand.

Is it a waste to go to a bible teaching class/church for an unbeliever. Think Billy Graham crusades-many who "go foreward" have bveen touched and convicted by the Holy Spirit to repent and confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour and that can happen through the written word, be it the bible or what we have been guided to write in answer to something on this catagory.

God promises His word will not go out void-what you write may start people thinking in a new way. I have had "best answer" responder say it helped them.

If they do then well all sigh in relief when they finally annoy someone else. PS I dont believe Jesus is the only way to God, and now im thoroughly convinced, that christianity is the biggest fraud known to man. Now give the Pagans back thier holidays or pay the consequences!

PS theres an article on the internet about Billy Graham protesting Victoria's secret.

The voice of truth is loud and clear here. Some may hear and some may obey, but none the less we've invaded the devil's territory and taken a stand and that's what we are commanded to do. So we will continue no doubt.

Why the need to change anyone's mind? I'm not a Christian and as far as I know, nothing I've said has convinced anyone to come over to "my side" ... but I don't care, because I'm just here for the discussion. Does converting people HAVE to be your goal?

Am new to this site and was drawn to it, thinking it would be a site of believers sharing experiences and faith. I find it full of scoffing,
mocking, and hate filled remarks. BUT, if one person is helped, it's worth wading through the rest. If one seed is planted, it's worth it. I find myself praying through-out the week for those who are so filled with hate. I was shocked at first that those who claim to be atheists, and not believe in the Lord, are so hostile. I've come to the conclusion, that if one does not believe, there's no need to be so upset... it simply wouldn't matter to them and there would be nothing to say. I'm convinced that they DO believe but simply are filled with the spirit of the Anti-Christ. One does not hate something that they don't believe in.. it's a waste of energy, time and isn't worth the bother. Continue to pray for them, treat them with compassion. I feel sorrow for those who feel so hopeless and lost. I pray they find their way out of the situation they're in. Continue planting the seeds, time is getting so very short... there are those who are truly searching and if we don't help them, who will? The battle is not ours, but His.

If the only reason you are here is to convert Atheists, it is definitely going to be a big waste of time. On the other hand, there are lots of other beneficial reason to being here. Amusement is high on the list.
