A friend of mine, June, had a baby, at 13. She named her baby Rose. When Rose was 14, she had a baby, named Violet. June was a grandma at 28. Well, Violet had her first baby when she was 14. June was now a great-grandmother at 41!! What's wrong with this picture?? June still gets asked for her I.D. when she buys lotto tickets for crying out loud!
Growing up too fast can cause a lot of problems with each one of these generations. And let me tell you, every one of these 'young mothers' had paid the consequences. At some point in their lives, they are wanting to 'go back in time' and re-live their youthful age, and go out, partying, finish what they started, and not be responsible for their actions.
What do you think went wrong with this family? I personally think there was some kind of acceptance with having kids at such a young age, but I think this only creates more problems, don't you think?

Oh jeez. My mom has been a grandma since she was 39(edit:should have said 36, she's 39 now.). She gave birth to me at 18 and I gave birth to my first child at 18. My grandma is 75 though...lol. I could not imagine being in in that situation though. You'd think there would have been more communication between mother and daughter. My grandma didn't talk about sex with my mom. My mom then got pregnant with me on the pull-out method...Growing up I constantly heard that if I was going to have sex to tell my mom so she could help me get on birth control. I was a virgin until 17, mom took me to get on birth control. I ended up pregnant anyways...I think when my daughters are around the age that their father and I tell them about sex, we're going to let them know that they CAN get pregnant on birth control.

Seems like June never communicated to Rose just how hard she had it. Rose never communicated to Violet just how hard she had it. Violet is going to have to be honest with her child to break the cycle.

It sounds to me that each and everyone of them like guidiance, a role model and perhaps a father figure within the home.. There is no other excuse.

I am not sure "we" as a collective whole will consent to any age as being the proper age to have children. You wouldn't happen to be a Mormon by any chance?

Oh dear. Well, at least they know that great grandma will be around for awhile. That's comforting.
