A third world war seems improbable in this unipolar world. But,who knows what is going to happen in future!10 years hence China may become enough strong, militarily, to challange any super power.Russia is already very strong in this area, the only snag is that the Russian armed forces do not have the back up of a strong national economy.10 yrs hence her economy may become enough resilient to absorb the shock of a world war.India also may becme a major regional power in 10 yrs.The complex fabric of the international politics of that time may prepare the grounds for yet another world war.

You know we are already fighting it in many ways. The under the skin hate that is bubbling will erupt eventually. The psychological warfare has been on since 9/11. But I think the biggest war is going on right now. Mother earth is not happy with how we have been treating her and she is fighting back.

Dont you think its already happening, and has been for a while now?Surely you dont need the media to officially declare it ,to be able to recognise it, or maybe you have your own definition of a 'world war', for example, the use of nukes?Im sure that if you count it up, there is more conflict and violence in more places than at other times past;the appearance of each conflict being for a different reason could be seen as superficial to the definition of a 'world war',ie one in which most of the (known?) world is involved.-Tin hats on, everyone!
