In most states a child of the age of 12 can choose which parent to live with.

A child does not HAVE to visit the non custodial parent at all. However it should be encouraged by the custodial parent...not forced simply encouraged IF the non custodial parent wants to partake of visitation rights.
There is no law that states the child HAS to visit the non custodial parent. Vistiation has NOTHING to do with joint custody or 50/50 custody visitation isn't LIVING with the non-custodial parent...it is visitations and the court can not DEMAND that a child be forced to visit the non-custodial parent, this may put undue psychological pressure on the child and would not be in the child's best interest.

There is no age limit. If the child does not want to see the other parent, than both parents should respect that.
If you want to take it further, the court however will respect the childs wishes under the circumstance the child is of age to know right from wrong and that is usually older then 5 years old.

You should be more worried about why your child does not want to see the other parent...

I believe it is twelve but, it would be something you would have to ask an attorney. I guess it would depend on if the non custodial parent had visitation rights and would try to fight it in court.

generally depends on the state... but 14 is generally the decision age... BUT.. if it is court ordered, you have to go back to court and let your daughter testify otherwise the other parent can hold you in contempt.
