Sorry. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but I do love red-headed women. (^_^)

It's probably a change in environment or something like that. Did you get a new shampoo ? (Some of them have sneaky dyes in them) or did you start using a new product like gel ?
Either way - Red is cool. My hair was super dark as a child, but the older I get the redder and curlier it gets (naturally). Pretty odd.

Hi Al!!
A lot of things, ca make the hair change the color.
Are you eating right??? Taking medications????
Are you using a different hair shampoo or conditioner???
Even the water, helps to change the hair color. If you are living in a tropical place, more so, due to the sun light??? Have you being to an inside swimming pool??? The treatments for water in swimming pools also change you hair color.
Try paying attention to your diet, first.
GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIVE
A.Z.

alot of brown hair has a red base to it..if you're getting alot of sun,the red in your hair could just be more apparent. i have light brown hair and people always say its red, because it has alot of red in it

maybe dyes in your shampoo. exposure to sun will sometimes lighten up brown hair so that it appears red.
