When I was 12 years old, I used to be so careless, mean and I was my only friend so I used to talk to myself a lot.

At that same age which is 12, a lot of boys used to have a crush on me and that was weird to me. I didn't use to care about boys and how I looked.

Now, I'm 18 years old, I have change so much from that. I care about people's feelings, I care about how I look and I'm so nice to everyone. But people still remember me as that same 12 year old girl. I wish I could go back in time and change everything I did when I was 12.

I don't know what to do. I keep on thinking about "I could've done this or that."

Can't change the past. Move on and work towards a better future.

The past can get to you sometimes, I know, it has a way of "tracking you down". I'm 18 myself and had a similar problem. That's just the way some people are. If you know you changed and your not the same person then that's all that matters. With time, eventually, they'll forget about that careless 12 year old girl....

I believe there are old souls and young souls.Old souls are the ones who have been here again and again and have a deeper wisdom on life.I believe I am an old soul. I think I was very religious in my days before. But not a christian..But I feel close to God,and always felt I was,I just don't know why. I knew from a little girl I was not christian, even being brought up catholic. I think I was a Gnostic Monk, during the beginning of christianity, before the catholics were invented by satan

Well, you can't go back to being 12. The only thing that you can do is to continue being the person you are now, and eventually others will see the difference. In case you do not know, 12 year olds do many things that they will never do when they get older. It is called growing into an adult. Don't sweat the small stuff, honey. The grownups will see you as an adult more as time goes by.

You wouldn't be the person you are now if you hadn't been like that at 12. If someone you know is still acting like you're 12, just tell them that in the past 6 years, you've grown up. Tell them you'd like it if they could see you for what you are now instead of who you were then. All of us mature & grow (some more than others!). If everyone was judged on a daily basis on the things we did when we were younger, none of us would leave the house!

Sounds like you're better person today than you were when you were 12. You sound like much nicer, much kinder and gentler person today. Be grateful you turned out the way you are today.

Yesterday is gone!! You can't do a damn thing about it. You can't tell God "Oh, I want to go back to the past and fix some mistakes I made back then!" . You can't control time! It's not your power or authority to do so only, God controls everything. So, focus on today and tomorrow, get over it and move on with your life. "Your best days are in front of you, not behind you!" =)

If people aren't willing to acknowledge and accept your change, they aren't worth your time. Find some new people to talk to and hang out with. Also, when you're at an age such as 12, looks are the most important thing, so they were probably attracted to you physically more than anything, which is NOT good. There's got to be an emotional, AND physical connection. Good Luck.

they call that "growing up" so do your changing, stick to it and make yourself available to show others that you have in fact changed. dont run from it, dont return to it. if you run away (as in moving away) they will remember you as the mean 12 year old until the day you die. just let yourself enjoy the new changes and eventually others will see that you have changed. it just takes time and you are going to spend alot of it adjusting to your changes yourself. we tend to go from one extreme to another, you still have leveling out to do. i understand your delimma, i was just like you. you are still young. those who are interested will see the changes and the rest will follow. look forward not backward and that will help alot. you are going to be a great person, because you are realizing for yourself the difference between right and wrong, rather than to just be a follower. you are at the beginning stages of being a really great individual. it is so much easier to trust your reasons than to trust someone elses.

Don't worry about it. That's just people for you. Just be you and forget the past. You have to move on. Everybody has things they wish they would have done differently. If they still see you like you were when you were 12 then they are just dumb and they're opinion shouldn't even matter.
