These symptoms sound more like costal and inercostal nerve pains due to some injury. The heart is actually behind the lungs and pressing on the ribs does not usually cause pain around the heart. This is possibly some rib injury , bruising around a nerve or even some sort of growth or damage on the lung itself.Perhaps even a small puncture wound

You need to get a referral to a thoracic surgeon to investigate this thoroughly, the shortness of breath denotes some lung involvement and the light headedness is due to the pain and some loss of lung function.

Get it looked at straight away and don't be sloughed off by inexperienced ER interns. You need a professional to do a proper work up to find the true cause and provide a solution.

Sounds like anxiety to me. You are probably stressing over something, maybe the weird feelings in your chest, no joke. Try sitting down with your feet propped up, close your eyes and think of snorkeling in a crystal clear cove somewhere peaeful. Just think of all the colorful fish and the reef, the sunlight shinning through the water down to where you are peacefully floating.

Panic attacks & chest pain go hand in hand most times. I have had several & felt I was having a heart attack. EKG's showed I was okay. Get a regular check up with your doc or find one, the people in ER are not always on it & have dismissed people with chest type pain if they are young. Hope it turns out well.

It may be a panic attack, I know that sounds silly, and maybe unrelated, but you may want to go to your gp and have it checked out. Good luck.
