Can't sleep, been sick with bad cold, feeling depressed, eating too much. Had none of these problems before I quit at the end of the year.

Yes, I am serious and I'm not kidding. Those of you who have never smoked have no idea what this is like. I quit cold turkey.

youve got to be kidding.
smoking is a disgusting habit and should never be thought twice about.
if you cant sleep, then talk to your doctor; have a cold, then take medicine and vitamins; depression, talk to your doctor about that too; eating too much, just tone it down a little and watch what you eat.
nobody is just "better off" smoking. theyre better off not.
smoking kills and there are much cooler ways to die. there is so much crap inside of cigarettes today, that its not even funny.
by smoking, you create second hand smoke and then those people around you have to deal with the side effects of that. dont put other people through that. its sucks to be around smokers.
i had to live with three once and i thought i was going to die living there.

When i last gave up cold turkey, it was for a new job. I was sick for about 3 weeks, and felt like crap( kind of like the worst flu i have ever had, dizzy and everything),i started again and left the job.
that was 3 years ago and i havnt been sick since, apart from the odd cold once a year
I have now been 2 days without a smoke, hopefully tomorrow will be day 3.
Try to last the month without one

You need to detoxify your body while quitting. Try drinking a lot of water whenever you have an urge to smoke. Also get some outdoor exercise, this helps your lungs recover and rebuild their strength. Don't start smoking again, it is so hard to quit. Stick with it and you will feel so strong when you are done with all the bull that comes with quitting!
Ideas for detoxing -
Master Cleanser (look it up)
Pomegranate Juice
Green Tea
Goldenseal
Plus many more, google "natural detox"

The long term effects of smoking are far worse than the withdrawal symptoms you are feeling. Hang in there, do some exercise and try to not go back. I know, I've quit several times and know how tough it can be. Six years now, no smoking...and like a drunk, I know I can't ever have another cigarette or I'll be back hooked on the damn things.
This will pass and you will feel better, guaranteed.

It's only been about a month, right? Give it time. Have you gone cold turkey or are you using nicotine replacement or something along those lines (lozenges, gum). Try working out- that will help with the depression and if you're gaining weight. It wouldn't hurt to consult your doctor about your overall health.

that s your mind that is playing with you. My father quit smoking long time ago. He then addicted to eating watermelon seed, when he was nervous. but then it is much healthier than smoking. :)
control yourself!
you r a guy but act like a coward!!
cant stop eating??
then tell yourself to stop eating!!
drink a lot of water!!
go out to gym!!
swim!! run!!
until tired!!
then you will sleep!!
do it for at least 1 month!
you will feel healthier, and...... feel the winner soul in your soul!!
yea!

are u serious? smoking is the worse, your paying someone to kill you. If i see a girl even if shes carmen electra hot and if i found out that she smokes and she wanted to date me, i would turn down fast. its unattractive and unhealthy. play through the pain
